It is that time of year again. The crack of the bat and the roar of the (virtual) crowd and the baseball season has begun again. Though we cannot enjoy the thrill of being at the game, we can still enjoy the great feeling that comes from cheering on our favorite team, while we look forward to the season and all of its hope and excitement.
It is also time to look to all of the hope and excitement that the Masonic tradition of giving can produce and I ask you to consider making a donation to one of our most fulfilling charitable programs, Masons 4 Mitts. With each $20 donation (or multiple thereof), a boy or girl in our Orange County community gets a mitt of their very own; quite possibly the very first mitt they will get in their lives.
I know that you understand the value and benefit of such a gift because in 2019 you made a generous gift to the Masons 4 Mitts program. I hope that the satisfaction of that generosity and the thought of the smile that gift put on the face of a disadvantaged child, can inspire you to make another donation this year, too.
At this time, the South County Bears team is unfortunately far behind its pace for donations for the year and time is running out. So, in light of your previous generosity, I am reaching out to you directly, in hopes that you might be moved again to make a similar donation soon, or maybe even today.
The donation process only takes a couple of minutes and all you have to do is follow the link below and follow the instructions. Any amount you can donate will be greatly appreciated by the children that benefit from this worthwhile cause.
I understand that this may be an inopportune time to ask for a financial donation. If these times find you in difficult straits, my heart and blessings go out to you and your family. If your situation allows you to make a donation and you are so inclined, then please take a few moments and use the link above to make a donation or write and mail a check to:
Masons 4 Mitts
1111 California St.
San Francisco, CA 94108
Please write “South County Bears” in the memo line
Please feel free to pass this information along to your brethren and family. As I said before, any and all donations are greatly appreciated.
Sincerely and Fraternally,
South County Bears, Co-Captain.
